The Orienten development has an area of approx. 14,000 m2 and is located in the Århusgadekvarteret district in Copenhagen’s Nordhavn. The development consist of a mix 131 apartments designed for families, single people and couples, as well as student housing and housing for residents with special needs.
There is also an integrated day-care centre owned by Copenhagen Municipality, commercial premises such as restaurant and café, which CPH City & Port Development are responsible for. The development is certified as sustainable, meeting energy standards that took effect from 2020.
The courtyard environment in Orienten was established at several levels with plateaus and green areas that can be used as a playground, kitchen gardens, etc., depending on the resident’s wishes. The roofs have communal roof terraces that vary in form and height with plants and bushes.
JCN Bolig took over the construction of Orienten as a half-finished development after bankruptcy of another contractor and we signed a framework agreement with Domea.
