Umeus Student Apartments, Copenhagen
275 student apartments in Nordhavnen.
The project comprises 275 student apartments, 14 communal kitchens and communal areas with a foyer, project room, study room, gym, laundry and café and lounge area – a total of 8,300 m2.
The project is a Umeus Student Co-living Concept, developed by Henning Larsen Architects in collaboration with NREP. The project is located in the new city development area “Nordhavnen” in Copenhagen, next to the shopping centre, cinema complex and metro station.
The project is made from a combination of concrete elements and light elements. The exterior façades are clad in profiled aluminium panels, and there are fitted balcony panels outside the communal kitchens, all in bronze ionised aluminium. The base of the building is made from concrete elements, so that the building contrasts with the traditional bridge district.
JCN Bolig has participated in the development of the project from the first drawings and has thus helped to ensure that the project could be built to the agreed project amount.
